Colorado is a mid western state. Colorado is known for the vast rocky mountains that run through the the state. Colorado Takes up 66,387,200 sq. miles of the United States. Popular destinations in Colorado include Pikes Peak, The Cave of the Winds,  The Cliff Dwellings (aka Cliff Palace) and the Garden of the Gods featuring the Kissing Camels.

Some famous haunted places in Colorado include the Stanley Hotel located in Estes Park, Colorado, this was the hotel featured in Stephen King book “The Shining”,  also the Lee’s house of Black Forest, located north of the Colorado Springs. Many believe that because of the frequent activity, the area which this house is located is a portal for spirits to enter this dimension.

Most of the laws in Colorado are sensible, but not all, here are a few laws that are kind of wacky. In Denver the dog catcher must notify dogs of impounding by posting, for three consecutive days, a notice on a tree in the city park and along a public road running through said park.  In Colorado Springs It is permissible to wear a holstered six-gun within city limits, except on Sunday, election day, or holidays. Statewide, It is now legal to tear of the tags on your mattress’ and pillows so go crazy!

Three of the major cities in Colorado include Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Pikes Peak is Colorado’s most notable mountain, But we can’t forget about Cheyenne Mountain this is where NORAD is located.  There are no ‘large’ natural lakes here however here are 3 large man made lakes in the state, John Martin, Granby and Pueblo. Here are some of the favorite camping areas in Colorado they are Morgan Park, Glacier Gorge and Arch Rock. The Colorado Historical Society, Denver Art Museum and the Childrens Museum are just 3 of the many museums here in Colorado. Three notable zoos in Colorado are Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Denver Zoo and the Pueblo Zoo. The gambling spots in Colorado are Cripple Creek, Blackhawk/Central City.  Casa Bonita  and the Caspian Cafe are a couple of our favorite restaurants. If your into skiing or snowboarding Colorado is your place. Colorado has world class ski resorts, Vail, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain are a few popular spots. For outdoors men and sportsmen there is excellent hunting most of which is done for elk and deer and you’ll catching mostly trout and salmon in Colorado however, other species are also found. Good fishing spots in Colorado Springs include Monument Lake and Quail Lake if you head towards the mountain’s be sure and check out 11 Mile Reservoir.  Colorado Springs is the home of the Olympic Training Center, last year its fate hung in the balance as it was threatened to be moved out of our city, however the fear subsided when the announcement came that the center would remain right here. The city of Denver features a Six Flags Amusement Park if your looking for fun in this state check it out.
